eclipse and a winner

Last night was a lunar eclipse. Joe was very excited about it, a little more excited than I was. The first time he went outside to look it was cloudy. The second time it was clear and he got me out of bed to go and look at it!!!!!

Anyways, he wanted to play with my new lens so he took some photos. The first zillion didn't turn out and then he opened the new remote for it (it was still in the box) and got some pretty good shots. Good for us. We're both amateurs, me more than him.

And upon request by Felicia here's a photo of the new lens. Don't you just love my messy fabric piles in the background??? Sheesh.

And now for what you're really here for...the winner of my soap give-away. I printed out all the comments, put them in a basket and had one of the students at school draw the name of the winner.

Congratulations Leslie. If you could send me an e-mail with your mailing address I'll pop the soap in the mail real soon!

I can't believe I missed the giveaway... oh well!

Very curious about your new lens & what focal length & all that it is? :)

Wow, that's a big lens. What kind is it? I used a 500mm for the eclipse but I wasn't too excited about the results, but that was mostly because of the weather.

That lens is ginormous! Much bigger than the pile of fabrics :) And that moon is beautiful.

Now that lense? That's going to take some practice -- but, OMG it's HUGE! Drat -- I didn't win, but, hopefully when the chocolate/raspberry is ready, I will :0).
