Hellllo summer!

Today is officially my last day of work before summer vacation and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.

The past month has been a blur. We bought new living room furniture so for days before it's arrival I was cleaning like crazy and post-arrival I've been sewing curtains and cushion covers. Now it's time to paint, but I need a little rest before I tackle that job.

One thing I've done (and I'm actually pretty excited about) is re-open my long neglected Etsy Shop. Currently I'm only offering two different sets of photo cards, but my head is filled with ideas for other goodies to make for the shop.

To help me celebrate the beginning of summer, blogging regularly again AND the re-opening of my shop, I'd like to have a give-away. I'm going to send one lucky winner a set of my "painted doors" photo cards. All you need to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what your crafty plans are for the summer (if you have any).

I'll draw for the winner one day next week.

A whole summer off work? You lucky thing! I'm about to head off to work now and (apart from weekends) have no idea when my next time off will be :(
My crafty plans for the summer are to make the most of the time that I do have! I have some cross stitch pictures which are half completed and I have promised to try and teach my friend to crochet (not that I'm great at it, but I do know the basics!)
Have a great time!

A whole summer off sounds nice, but I can't complain since I only work 3 days/week now! :)

My crafty plans? To get back into the studio and create more jewelry! I've been slacking off lately. (Bad Marci!)

Also, when my mom was visiting last month, we hit the cross stitch shop. I picked up a few patterns that are calling to me, so I'd like to pick them up and have a go at some cross stitch again. I'd also like to master knitting -- at least be able to get past casting on and doing the first row of stitches. Ha ha!

Enjoy your summer!

I think it is great that you have a whole summer off each year!

I am hoping to start doing some sewing soon. It has been a long time! And this summer, I will be making things just for me, family and friends. Nothing to sell, only fun!

Well, is winter for me, here in the Southern hemisphere, so my plans are to go forward with knitting (that I just learned) and start in christmas goodies because I should be part of a fair in November and I need enough to present in it.
Happy vacations and summer. :D

You sound pretty busy up there! Can't wait to see some things in your shop!

My crafty plans are only: survival. Find crafty ways to survive the summer with the kids. Survival. It's a good thing.

Oh, the last day of school... delicious!
My crafty summer plans are to remember where my sewing room is while I take care of a newborn 24/7. I'm actually hoping I'll be able to fix the car seat cover, sew a diaper changing wallet thingy, finish the burp cloths and one more sling (for The Husband, as he needs a manly one) TODAY. I can feel my body rearing up to go into labor... exciting stuff!

Congrats! Summer off, new living room furniture, etsy shop and lots of crafty ideas! What could be better? I have many ideas and little time, but I hope to accomplish some sewing for home and me, a couple of quilting projects, crochet and some scrapbooking. We'll see. I'm leaving next week to meet a brand new granddaughter so everything can wait until after my visit. Enjoy your summer and I can't wait to your new projects!

I loved that photo when you posted it and I think it make some gorgeous cards.

My plans are to use a lot of my stash for sewing projects. There will be plenty of kids crafts too.

Enjoy your summer break!
So far this summer I've completed 2 baby quilts and 1 throw.....I have 1 baby quilt ready to quilt and 2 more ready to sandwich....these have all been from my stash....(except the batting).....yippee.....but I hardly made a dent in my fabric piles, so I guess I'll keep sewing :-)

Congrats on re-opening your shop!

My summer craft plans include turning my daughter's closet into a little playhouse; a quilt for her "big girl bed"; a quilt for Baby-On-The-Way's crib; and new curtains all around. How long is summer again??? :)

My crafty plans include a tshirt quilt, a strip quilt, and a vintage sheet quilt, but so far, I've only worked on the strip quilt.

Your cards are beautiful. Mind if I ask who you use to print them?

My crafty plans for the summer will include sewing up new throw pillows for my living room, and lots and lots of decorating for our new house we're moving into in less than 2 weeks (I finally get my own sewing room!) And sewing up a bunch of summer outfits for my girls.

Hi! I was wondering if you were going to reopen your Etsy shop. I love the colors of the doors on these cards!

Oops, sorry, I forgot to add my crafty plans! Well, we are in California & Alaska for over a month in which I won't have easy sewing machine access. I'm hoping to finish a pattern for my lunch bags to sell as a .pdf in the shop, but mostly the shop will be closed this summer. I might take the opportunity to work on some knit baby booties for a friend and embroider a Christmas stocking for my son. :)
