Summer days and a plea for help!

On Saturday we went to the Friendship Festival in Fort Erie, Ontario. I had never been before and enjoyed wandering through the stalls looking at all the different vendors. There were live performances scattered through the grounds, clowns, a midway, and a food area with extremely overpriced food. $9.00 for french fries??????

Of course I had my camera with me and let me tell you this ladies, a camera is to a woman what a puppy is to a man. Not once, but twice I was approached (by rather attractive gentlemen) and quizzed about my lens! Too bad Joe didn't see that!

Here's one of my favourite photos of the day.

Yesterday (Sunday) I had the day to myself, Joe went geocaching. The first thing on my to-do list was to make a new summer bag, of course!!! I pulled out the pattern (which I had already used once) and guess what?? The instructions are GONE! I have all the pattern pieces, with NO INSTRUCTIONS! I need instructions. If I remember correctly, it was a little bit tricky and I have no idea where to start.

So here's my plea. If you happen to have the Grand Revival Designs, Flea Market Bag pattern and are willing to e-mail me the "Reader's Digest" version of the instructions, I would really really appreciate it!

So, once I realized I was NOT going to be able to sew the new funky summer purse what did I do???? I made ANOTHER Simplicity 3-8-3-5, of course.

I used a taupe coloured gauzy fabric. It was a little tricky to sew with and it turned out a little bit big. I suspect it's because the fabric has a little stretch to it. I'm going to try it on again today and see if I'm right, if so, I'll be adding the darts to the back of it.

I've also been playing with buttons. Last night I sorted through my VAST button collection and selected a few buttons to make pendants and bracelets with.

I LOVE summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the lemon photo. Was it from fresh-sqeezed lemonade?? (I can't believe men were hitting on you with your camera lenses! Where was Joe that whole time????)

The shirt is cute. I had the same problem when I sewed one similar. It is stretchy. Darts helped it some.

Sorry, but I don't have the bag pattern.

I've got the bag pattern but I won't be able to send the instructions until this evening.

I like the shirt in that fabric - I have that pattern too, but its too small and I need to figure out how to make it for a larger size before trying it.

Love the new shirt. The fabric looks so comfy and cool. The lemon picture is such a perfect summer photo! Men! Hope you get the directions for the bag. I know that's frustrating!

Love the top. Sorry, I don't have that bag pattern. And to tell you the truth, I've never sewn a bag before. I think you just might have sparked something it me :)
