and I'm freaking out!!!!
Where did the time go????????
I have so many things to cram into the next week, hair appointments, meetings, root canal, etc. My mind is spinning.
We head back up north to the cottage for the last week of the summer. We get back just two days before I have to go back to work. I can hardly believe it. Two more weeks, that's it!!!!!!!
When we went to the cottage in July I had made up little sewing kits which consisted of little change purses ready to embellish. I've already started putting together the kits to take up with us this time.
I spent some time this morning making some more mini wallets for my Etsy Shop.. I think it took me as long to install the snaps as it did to sew up the wallets!!! I was having no luck this morning. For every snap that worked I'm sure I wasted three. Does anyone know the secret to attaching snaps??? I have the right tools. I know I'm doing it right. Maybe I just need more practice.
Have as super weekend, I'm going to continue to freak out and enjoy the last seconds of the summer!!

Karyn, I hope you have a wonderful time at the cabin. I don't know what kind of snaps you are installing but "Craft Apple" posted a handy tutorial on magnetic snaps a few days ago.

I've read good things about this snap press:

If I ever have a reason to use snaps, that's probably what I would get.
Your wallets look great, Karyn.
Freaking out here too.
Summer....gone! School starts here next week.
I can't believe how it is almost the end of summer already! I hope you enjoy the last couple weeks!
Those wallets look wonderful:)
I'm apparently snap-impaired myself. I found that out while making some bibs for a friend. My first experience with snaps didnot go well - I think I wasted as many as I was able to use successfully.
Joanna's suggestion sounds good. I have a snap setter and I follow the directions, but rarely get a good one that I'm conifident won't pull out. I think it's the snap setter - it doesn't come down evenly on the snap. One fellow craft shower told me she just bangs them in with a hammer. Sounds like that or the snap press would be the most even set. Sorry! I feel your frustration!
Glad to know I'm not the only one freaking out over summer waning...And hardly had any realy summer over here this year, so it's sad to see what's left of it go. So summertime blues are big right now. But your wallets cheer--great fabrics and color combos. I'm actually tinkering with snaps at the moment too and still trying to master them. Hope you feel more confident with them soon! Let us know what you use to make a good result. And have fun soaking up the last of the summer! ((hugs))
the wallets are looking better and better... good job! and hope you enjoyed your weekend at the cottage. do you mean to say you didn't have to work ALL summer?
I have no idea where the summer went, I seem to have misplaced mine as well! Have a great time at the cabin and I hope you get done what you want to do!
