Our friends, Mary and Bob, got married on Saturday. Joe and I took photos for them.
Boy, did I ever learn a lot!
I could never ever photograph an event on a really hot day. Saturday was beautiful, but boy, were we ever hot running around taking photos, and it wasn't even hot out!
And I need to be more assertive when taking photos. There were tons of people snapping shots. As a result, most of my photos have everyone in it looking in different directions.
I also really think that formal, traditional photos aren't my thing. I really liked the "fun" photos that Joe and I took the best.
It was a super day. We had a ton of fun. We will be sifting through photos for days now!
Edit: I'm not a professional photographer and never will be. Joe and I took those photos as a favour to our friends Bob and Mary. We took some practice photos of them in the summer to help prepare for the big day.

I think the photos are pretty good, especially if this is really your first time. I love the one where the groom is jumping next to his bride. Beautiful couple...
They look great! I like the one of Bob in the air!
I think the photos are great. What a blessing to your friends.

Owhhh... they look so good. We didnt have a professional Photographer at ours too and asked a friend to take them for us. It turned out really well too.
You and Joe did well. They looked kinda like the professional ones!
Karyn: I think you and Joe could have a second career if you so choose; the pics I've seen so far have been wonderful. Thanks so much for thinking to take one of Mary & I. (sorry I didn't look at your camera; I was busy watching someone else's). It was lovely to have met you - keep on click'n. Pat McPherson
My goodness Karyn, they're fabulous! I'd say you did them proud. You really captured their personalities which is a thing sorely lacking in most posed, professional photos. Mazal tov!
I love the photos. I, too, love the one where he is in the air. I love photos with personality.
You did a great job!
