Today is Canadian Thanksgiving. I've cooked myself a small turkey so that I can have my absolute favourite thing, turkey sandwiches, for lunch this week.
To celebrate my sandwiches, I decided I needed a fancy new lunch bag. I used the Favorite Things Lunch Bag pattern.
I like it, I don't love love love it. Why? Because sewing corners is hard. I had planned to use the leftover fabric to make matching napkins (how cute would that be??) but I think I'm leaning towards saving the fabric and making myself another lunch bag when I find a good online tutorial. Although, by the time I'm done with this bag I'll probably be sick of the fabric so maybe I should go ahead and make matching napkins and move on. I think that's what I'll do.

How is it pieced that the corners were hard? Was it not piece the middle the strip then sew it to the front and then to the back?
Also remember to clip your corners and use a sharp something to poke them out. (Martha likes a bone folder, I use whatever is lying around: a pen with the tip retracted, a finger nail file, etc. LOL)
It's awfully cute, Karyn. I wish you loved it, but since you don't, I do. lol
I've been eying that pattern for a little bit. Your new lunchbox is great!
I love your bag.
I know what you mean about the corners. There must be a trick when you reach the corner. The bag is so cute, though.
