I used fusible fleece on the outside of the bag, and very stiff Pellon interfacing on the lining. The bag stands on it's own, that's for sure!
I decided not to put a pocket in it. I'm going to use the little bit of extra fabric I have to make a matching pouch.
It was a lot of fun making a bag again. It seems like forever since I've made one. I found I was a little out of practice though, I had to really think about each step. The purse seemed to take forever to make. I knew I couldn't make any huge mistakes with this fabric!!

Cute bag! I love the flea market fancy prints in the fall colors!
See I don't know if I could finish a gorgeous bag like that in one day....so for you to say it took forever....I think you work pretty fast! Love the fabrics.
What a great idea with the charm squares. The bag I made a couple of weeks ago was my first in a while and I was out of practice as well. I forgot to put pockets in it! The bag turned out really nicely, though and isn't fleece fabulous?
Great job!
I bet you'll enjoy carrying that great-looking bag to work tomorrow.
Saw your already-winter-weather on Friday! Good thing you made a quilt!
Very nice! It looks nice and sturdy and very fallish. I still haven't made my fall bag yet, but it's next on the agenda.
