Stephenie Meyer, I love you, or, why I haven't done anything creative

Last Friday (one week ago) I was sitting at work (I'm a high school librarian) and I had a copy of Twilight sitting on my desk that someone returned. I had more than one student "ohhh and ahhhh" over it when they saw it sitting there. I decided to take it home for the weekend and read it.

Oh my goodness. I was hooked after the first chapter. By early Sunday morning I was kicking myself for not having brought home the next book in the series, New Moon.

Fortunately, I knew that New Moon was also sitting on my desk at work and I knew I could dive right into it on Monday. I did.

Without giving anything away, the second book took me a bit longer to "get into". I had only read about 1/3 of it until last night. When I got home from work (after I had put dinner in the oven) I started to read. I am almost done. I have an hour before I have to start getting ready for work and I think that's more than enough time to finish it.

Now, here's the problem...a student is reading the third book, Eclipse. He's a fast reader and I know he took it home last night. Did he finish??? He better have!!!!!

So, let me get this straight: You didn't email me last night because you were reading this book?!?!? I see how you are... Are my morning emails distracting you from finishing this one? :-0

Another one's been sucked into the Twilight saga! :)

I read Twilight and New Moon both in one night each. Then I had to take a break before reading Eclispe, which took me a couple days (dang it for work interferring) and Breaking Dawn was a two day read at the beach.

Enjoy -- and get ready for the movie.

Oh those books got me sucked in as well. I picked the first one up on a whim over a year ago and became completely obsessed with them. Enjoy the ride! ;)

Ok--so if a librarian gives a big "thumbs up" to a book...I guess we better listen! LOL

my daughter loves those books...she can hardly wait for the movie.

on a side note, my daughter is a sophmore in high school and is considering library science for college.....would you recommend the profession? or have any helpful information for us?

Thanks, Carolyn

I loved the book - and luckily for me, I didn't even find the series until the first three had been published! So I read those three then waited a short time for the fourth. I loaned them to my Mom so that's where they are now.

I did ignore everything/everyone else though, when I was reading them. I actually went out and bought books two and three right after I finished the third. LOL

OMG.... aren't they brilliant!! I, like tsoniki ignored my life and reality for a while when I was reading the book.

When I started reading the book, the fourth book was about to come out so I was reading it as fast as I can so that I will be ready for the fourth book. It took me at least 1 1/2 weeks to read all the books. That is a record for me.

I can not wait for the movie to come out. You can read about my thoughts on my blog under books.I am totally obsessed with the series.

I am re reading the last book again because I went thru it so quick (1.5 days). I also rerad the first book.

Enjoy the ride. :*)

Let me know what you think of it.

Me, and my children (somewhat unfortunately) totally understand! I became obsessive when I was reading them. Eclipse is FANTASTIC! my favorite of the series by a long shot. Enjoy!
