Pie and a give-away!

Joe is totally burned out. Work is tough on him, he gets phone calls at all hours of the night and he's not been sleeping all that great. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work and bought some berries and some frozen pie crusts. (I tried making my own crust ONCE. It was such a disaster I swore I'd never ever do it again).

Anyways, I came home from work and made this:

Honestly? That doesn't really appeal to me, even though I'll eat my fair share of it. I'm more of a chocolate cake kinda gal. He will go bananas for it though. I'll be his hero for an hour or so tonight :)

I've also decided that it's time for another give-away. Simply leave a comment on this post in the next few days and I'll randomly pick a name (or two) and send the winners some of my new Gocco cards.

And lastly, I want to just let it be known that I try really hard to reply to all commenters, but sometimes I'm not able to find an e-mail address to reply to. If you've left a comment and I haven't replied it might be because I can't find your address, not because I don't want to!

I don't do pie crusts either. No matter how hard I try, the store ones always taste better!

I think it looks delicious and the cards are adorable :)

I'm having a bit of Gocco envy. I'm hoping my hubby will catch onto the hints I've been giving him and I'll have a Gocco under my Christmas tree this year.

I always love a good giveaway. I want to have one too, but I don't think I get enough hits to my site yet. Soon, hopefully.

I'm not much of a pie eater, but that one looks pretty damn good to me!

I've been lucky to have kind of mastered my Grandma and Mom's pie crust - not that I could tell you how off the top of my head! I usually have to have one of them on the phone with me while I make it.

I think I'm going to make banana bread - I don't have chocolate chips otherwise I'd just make cookies. :)

Yeah, I'm all about some chocolate cake myself. But what a beautiful pie, I'm sure he'll love it.

I buy the Robin Hood pie crust mix and they come out just like home made. I used to get my mom to make pastry for me but her arthritis is too bad these days. Your pie looks very yummy. I love the cards by the way.

First the tag punch, now the Gocco machine. Feeling a little jealous here! Love those cards.

I'm a chocolate cake girl too, but I sure would like some of that pie. :)

I totally leave any complicated cooking or baking to Ben. I tried baking cookies once (um yeah, should be simple right) and totally had to throw the whole batch out (I think I even cried about it:).

I still love those cards:) Crossing my fingers!

Just found your blog through Pink Purl. I don't do pie crusts either. The pie looks yummy even with premade pie crusts.

I am not familiar with Gocco but the cards are adorable.

I prefer chocolate cake as well, which does not mean that I would refuse a piece of pie.

You cards are so nice. Very clever design.

Hi Karyn,
Now that I'm back and caught up to date with everything I want to know more about this Gocco machine! How does it work? Never heard of them in the UK but I want one!!

The cards look great. Gocco looks like such fun.

The secret to pie crust is to make it in your food processor. It comes together really easily. I made chocolate chip cookies for my son (and me) yesterday but my husband would prefer your pie.

Nope, no pie crusts here -- pre-made or frozen baby! Though I must say -- that pie, heated up, with a bit of ice cream on top-- sounds like a winner to me! Love those cards!

My husband and I are the same way. He loves pie. I love chocolate. Which is good--I'm not tempted by his pie.

Love the cards!

Love the cards, you do great work.

Your pendants are beautiful also.

Could you lay a ruler or coin next to the pendants when taking the photo, for size reference?

Thanks

Beautiful cards - guess I'm showing by ignorance here because I don't know what a Gocco is...maybe I better read more of your posts.
BTW, that pie looks really yummy! I'm not letting my hubby see the photo or he'll be wanting me to bake one for him.
